National Society of High School Scholars Foundation Awards Monster Worldwide Scholarships to Young STEM Scholars

Nobel Prize Family Member Foundation Confers College Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Studies

ATLANTA (EWORLDWIRE) Jun 3, 2009

The National Society of High School Scholars Foundation today announced the ten outstanding young scholars who have each been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship to pursue college majors and careers in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through a grant from Monster Worldwide.

The NSHSS Foundation and Monster Worldwide recognize the need to produce more graduates with knowledge and skills in the STEM disciplines in order to meet the competitive challenges of the technology-driven global economy of the 21st century. They are committed to this effort to steer students to become qualified workers in these areas in order to improve the quality of life for all.

These ten Monster Scholars represent key Monster communities throughout the United States:

Boston: Katherine Roe; The Winsor School
Chicago: Christopher Perez, Whitney Young Magnet High School
Cincinnati: Adrianna Boris, Colerain High School
Florence, S.C.: Kameryn McCarty, West Florence High School
Indianapolis: Meaghan Banks, Lawrence Central High School
Maynard, Mass.: Molly ONeil, Maynard High School
Milwaukee: Haji Mberaw, Washington High School of IT
San Francisco: Joanne Cho, Galileo Academy of Science and Technology
Tempe, Ariz.: Jessie Koljonen, Payne Academy at McClintock High School
Washington, D.C., Taiysha Hobbs, McKinley Technology High School
