Americans Move To Stop Wisconsin from Aiding Illegal Immigrants

  Share With Friends

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) supporters from every state are converging on Wisconsin by phone, fax, and e-mail today in an effort to represent the 80% of Americans from every race who oppose in-state tuition for illegal aliens since some Democrats inserted the measure into the Wisconsin state budget bill!

"Some of the Democrats in Wisconsin have heavily degraded the integrity of the lawmaking process by inserting in-state tuition for illegals into the budget bill," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "Those lawmakers are clearly trying to force this legislation through and have shown they are willing to get down and dirty to deprive Wisconsin citizens of due legislative process."

Similar underhanded legislative tricks were attempted in Colorado and Arkansas this year in an effort to pass in-state tuition for illegals. ALIPAC has helped to defeat this kind of Dream Act legislation in Arkansas, Colorado, New Jersey, Oregon, and Maryland so far in 2009. Multiple polls show that over 80% of Americans oppose Dream Act legislation such as in-state tuition for illegals.

"The illegal alien supporters have lost almost every single state battle in 2008 and 2009 because even Democratic controlled legislatures have sided with the vast majority of their constituents who oppose any taxpayer welfare benefits for illegals," said William Gheen. "These rejections of Dream Act legislation in the states increases the chances we will defeat Dream Act Amnesty in Washington again in 2009."

With millions of Americans painfully realizing that their own dreams of going to college, or their children's dreams of going to college are evaporating in this nightmarish economy, a strong sense of outrage is felt by Americans who are aware of what some lawmakers and the governor, Jim Doyle, are attempting in Wisconsin.

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle is likely to suffer major decreases in public support following the pattern of Governor's Elliot Spitzer and Jon Corzine after they tried to push for licenses and in-state tuition for illegals.
