LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Canon Business Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Canon U.S.A. and a
leading provider of document imaging and office solutions, today
announced that Minuteman Press of Cambridge, Massachusetts has installed
the Canon imagePRESS C6000 and C6000VP digital presses to support the
growing demand for short-run quality color output.
"By implementing the imagePRESS C6000 and C6000VP, we will be able to
save approximately 25% from our previous 'older generation' digital
printing solutions through a combination of higher productivity and
lower supply costs," said Dean Lyettefi, Operations Manager, Minuteman
Press of Cambridge. "We also felt more secure knowing Canon now has a
direct presence in the Boston area through its sales subsidiary Canon
Business Solutions. While new to the Boston area, Canon Business
Solutions has significant experience with the C6000 / 7000 product line
and the commercial print industry. This assured us that our investment
will be supported by a company committed to the highest standards,"
Lyettefi added.
The Canon imagePRESS line represents the largest single engine R&D
investment in Canon's history. Capable of printing images up to 1200 x
1200 dpi resolution with a superior level of quality, the imagePRESS
C6000 prints at 60 letter pages per minute, including media up to 110lb
cover stock. The imagePRESS C6000 reflects our commitment to enabling
businesses of all sizes to capitalize on our years of intensive R&D in
digital color imaging and reproduction.
"Minuteman Press of Cambridge is committed to being a top choice for
printing services in the Boston area. We are proud that the imagePRESS
C6000 will allow them to achieve their goal. The imagePRESS line is
addressing a critical need in the printing industry and the early
adapters to this technology are those that are taking the lead in their
market space," said Denis Griff, Sr. Director of Production Print, Canon
Business Solutions, Inc.
