Cozi Asks Moms Nationwide: What Would Your Ideal Mother's Day Include?

SEATTLE - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Cozi (www.cozi.com), a free web service that helps busy families organize and simplify their daily lives, today announced results of its Mother's Day Wish List Survey. Cozi asked 5,000 moms across the country what gifts they would most like to receive from their children on Mother's Day.

The top vote getter at 35 percent was a simple handmade card or other handmade item, proving that moms cherish the creativity and thoughtfulness of their children a lot more than lavish jewelry or fancy gifts.

Rounding out the top five were:

• Getting a day off from being a mom (13 percent)
• Fresh flowers (11 percent)
• Peace and quiet (9 percent)
• Framed photo or picture (8 percent)

Moms were also asked how they would prefer to spend Mother's Day and the top answer was spending a lazy day at home with family (31 percent), followed by a day spent doing anything with their children (20 percent) or enjoying brunch with the family (20 percent), relaxing at a spa (11 percent) and doing something outside such as hiking or playing tennis (7 percent).

"Moms' jobs don't stop at the end of the workday. From spending time working on homework to organizing their children's schedules, to making sure they don't miss play dates, sporting events and a myriad of other activities, moms deserve so much recognition for a job well done," said Robbie Cape, co-founder and CEO, Cozi, and father of three. Father may know best after all. Dads were also asked how they thought their partners would want to spend Mother's Day and the results show that Mom and Dad are in-sync, as 29 percent predicted their wives/partners would like to do anything with the children, 25 percent would want to spend a lazy day at home, 19 percent would want to relax at a spa, 12 percent would want to have brunch with the family and only 10 percent would want to spend time alone."
