AVID Soccer and the City of Palmdale Announce a Youth Academy Day Camp

Palmdale, CA, April 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- AVID Soccer has partnered with the City of Palmdale to create a unique youth training opportunity. The AVID Soccer Youth Academy is a blend of the FA Soccer Star program and the Dutch Total Soccer program. During this five day camp students will learn valuable soccer skills. Skills include dribbling, passing, receiving the ball, shooting, free kicks, heading, volleys, defending, and goal keeping. Camp will conclude with positional play, games, and awards.

The Academy will be split into a morning session (8664) and mid-day session (8663). The mid-day session will cover similar topics, but with more advanced techniques and tactics. Each two hour training session will focus on a topic with a mix of skills and games. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate.
