"Responsibility 2.1C" : Applying 21st Century Solutions to 21st Century Issues

- The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication has an effective method for dealing the vast number of digital issues we are aware of (like the trend du jour known as "sexting"), and those that we will be aware of soon.

Despite this fact however, our nation and media seem to be content with treating these digital, 21st century issues, with an "old school" 20th century approach. Unfortunately, based on past headlines regarding "spyware" and "cyber bullying" and now with the national fixture of sexting in the news, it appears we are failing an entire digital generation.

Fortunately however, there is an effective way to save this new generation for those of us willing to listen. It is through The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication's concept of "Responsibility 2.1C".

What is really amazing however, is that this unique and innovative organization with a 21st century solution is a self funded nonprofit out of New Jersey. Further, despite all the media attention about cyber safety, not to mention all of the much larger safety organizations around with major funding, they are the only ones that seem to be thinking ahead and not reacting to new issues.

Richard Guerry, the visionary behind the concept of "Responsibility 2.1C" and co-founder of The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication recently stated that "We as a nation need to provide direct proactive communication of Digital Responsibility (Responsibility 2.1C) to a new generation. We cannot be reactionary treating today's digital issues, and we cannot resolve them with 20th century threats, reprimand and curriculum." He went on to say, "The real problem is our youth has grown up learning what we call responsibility 1.0 or offline responsibility. They do not understand the scope of the repercussions when they invoke poor (digital) judgment because they have not been proactively taught digital responsibility or what we call, Responsibility 2.1C. We cannot apply 20th century solutions to 21st century issues."

The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication is a (to date) self funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Mount Laurel, NJ.

The Institute's Speakers Bureau and Executive Board is available nationally to any educational facility, community, or government agency to proactively assist in communicating or expanding upon their innovative concept of "Responsibility 2.1C".

We are quite surprised by the number of segments about Sexting nationwide without mention of The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication, the acclaimed "Sexting Is Stupid" program, and the innovative concept of "Responsibility 2.1C".

Testimonial from a middle School in NJ about The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication's seminar: "The sexting is stupid seminar was great! This was extremely valuable information that is an educational eye opener to both students and adults. The presenter was very knowledgeable and did an outstanding job informing us of the dangers that we didn't even realize existed. I think all student bodies and staff should have the opportunity to have an assembly on this topic."

The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication (I.R.O.C.2) is a (to date) self funded nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a new way of social thinking as it relates to the use of digital technologies and responsibility. The Institute was founded by Richard and Jacqueline Guerry and its mission and program has been developed by individuals with over 100 years combined education and school administration experience as well as, but not limited to, information technology and juvenile safety experts, general and child psychology specialists, and child advocacy legal counselors.

It is dedicated to proactively educating society about their concept of safety, self responsibility, self accountability and the devastating and life altering consequences that can occur when failing to apply their concept of "Digital Responsibility" or "Responsibility 2.1C" while using the internet, cell phones and other digital technologies.

The organization's creation is based on overwhelming public evidence that many individuals are not aware of the short and long term consequences of their own actions when utilizing our world's rapidly evolving digital technologies irresponsibly.

Further, they are the only organization that is committed to the proactive direct expert communication of Digital Responsibility (2.1C) to a new generation and do not use reactive old school threats, reprimand and third party curriculum that is ineffective.
