The Host of the National Medical Report Hugh Downs is Part of a New Educational Series on Urology

Boca Raton, FL, April 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- From bladder control for women to prostate cancer and enlargement of the prostate, Urological Issues will cover the different options available through leading surgeons and hospitals that are available now or will be approved soon. Some of the issues covered will be: bladder cancer, infertility, interstitial cystitis, kidney cancer, pediatric urology, prostate cancer, other urologic cancers, prostatitis, stones in the urinary tract, female urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

The program will highlight urological issues and will highlight surgeons and their commentaries surrounding helpful procedures and cutting edge techniques.

One topic that will be discussed will be urinary incontinence in women and will focus on providing an overview of the types of urinary incontinence in women and diagnostic procedures used to evaluate the condition. Discussions on the full range of treatment options, from noninvasive behavioral treatments to surgery, will be covered.

For men, the issues surrounding the prostate will be covered. For men under 50, the most common prostate problem is prostatitis. For men over 50, the most common prostate problem is prostate enlargement. “This is an important series,” said the senior producer, “since most people will face some type of urological issue either personally or in their family.”
