Broadband Antenna Tracking Systems and WAV Sign Agreement to Distribute BTS-2500, BTS-900 Products
Broadband Antenna Tracking Systems,
Inc., announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with WAV
to distribute its products to wireless broadband resellers throughout North
America.
BATS has innovative technology that automatically locates, locks and tracks
broadband communication access points with continuous bandwidth
optimization. Both theBTS-2500 and BTS-900 systems consist of a modular
computer-controlled positioning unit along with the hardened Antenna
Control Unit (ACU) or Rack Mount Control Unit (RMCU).
The technology is ideal for mobile WiMAX and allowing for moving vehicles
on land, water and air to access critical broadband communications
resources. BATS' directional antenna technology aims, locates and locks in
on an access point (AP) in seconds. Once the AP is located, predictive
tracking systems are employed to maximize bandwidth and minimize movement
during tracking.
"From a technology perspective, the BATS solution will eliminate the man
hours spent climbing towers," said Norm Dumbroff, WAV Chief Executive
Officer. "The BATS solution is an invaluable time-saver and is ideal for
markets such as critical response, oil and gas, border security, maritime
and those environments that simply require a lot of man-hours realigning
radios."
In addition to speed of deployment and providing a lower cost of ownership,
BATS technology agnostically supports and enhances any wireless
communications system or vendor equipment.
"WAV is a premier distributor of wireless broadband equipment in North
America," said Bob Peterson, BATS Chief Executive Officer. "Our unique
products give WAV's resellers solutions that significantly expand the
capabilities of broadband communication equipment and solve the problems
that result from limited technical resources and communication downtime."
