Bluegrass Update - April 2009
Here are a few more events of interest to bluegrass fans.
This Land is Your Land, a tribute to the life & legacy of Woody Guthrie, performed by Country Joe McDonald, a two-act play with music. The show will include songs by Guthrie & others, readings from Guthrie's writings, & Country Joe's reminiscences of his own family. Natural Drift will perform their usual third Friday gig at Hemalayas, 3420 Palmer Dr, Cameron Park, on April 17, 730 to 1000 PM. No cover; great food & family entertainment. Then on April 18, they will perform three sets, 1020 AM, 1205 PM, & 150 PM, at the Roseville Earth Day Celebration at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center, Mehany Regional Park (corner of Pleasant Grove Blvd & Woodcreek Oaks Blvd, Roseville).

Then on April 25, 300 to 600 PM, they will perform for the Sierra Wildlife Rescue's 2009 Toast to Wildlife Celebration & Fundraiser at the Marshall Gold Discovery Park in Coloma. There will be all you can eat BBQ by Back Forty. Tickets are $40 & sold in advance only; limited to 200 guests. For tickets & info, call 530-620-5369.
