UCSD Mistakenly Accepted 29,000 Rejected Students on April Fools Day

This is no joke; many people got the acceptance email. The mistake was uncovered about half an hour after the acceptance email went out to the 29,000 rejects.
Two hours after the acceptance email went out; several rejection emails went out, crushing many people's dreams.
However, the school did send out an apology for the mistake.
UCSD is renowned for being home to some of the nation's most gifted students and one of the leading UC campuses. It is shame that the university allowed a mistake of this magnitude to occur.
