Security News Portal Calls Conficker FUD

By

SNP (Security News Portal) has already run a story making fun of the big TV media scare over the so-called April Fool's Virus Conficker and renaming the "updated" version "King Con".

http://www.securitynewsportal.com/

According to the mythical Sidney FUD Microsoft, supposed representative of the (also mythical) Conficker Cabal industry alliance, the Cabal has already released the "Con Cabal Robot (tm)" to battle the King Con Conficker variant which was also reported to be seen climbing the Empire State Building just after midnight.

FUD is a computer security industry acronym for Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt, and is often used to describe the hysteria surrounding big virus threats, or at least those made to appear big by being promoted on TV news shows.

The best known FUD of the last decade was Y2K which made a lot of security experts, retired COBOL programmers, and computer software vendors (not to mention journalists and technology authors) a LOT of money.

NOTICE, although this report in NewsBlaze is factual because it merely reports the existence of the SNP report, the event SNP is reporting on, both the Cabal and the King Con virus are completely made up by Securitynewsportal.com, a respected online source of computer security information.

Although Conficker itself is no joke and may perhaps cause some problems, any well-secured business network or home system using updated security software will probably experience no problems whatsoever.
