Why Give Up on Jehovah?
Dear Stuart Tryon,
I do not want to be like Job's three false comforters but if you had problems everywhere you went, and it was not YOU, why give up on Jehovah? We're broke and we don't really get invited but out of love for Jehovah, we have endured the imperfections of our brothers and sisters.
If it is not YOU, then don't give up! Stand up and know this: There is a sister(that's me) and my husband, somewhere in NJ that says to you, "Please don't let the burning missiles from within or out detract you from what you know in your heart to be the truth!"
Perhaps it wasn't the suits but something else that as a child, you weren't able to see or perceive. Do not forget, no one is installed in the position of Jehovah's Elder unless Holy Spirit is upon him! In the face of severe opposition, Paul bore up under persecution as you know where it comes from: Satan. (And, imperfect people!)
We have been disappointed to say the least, at some of the painful imperfections in brothers/sisters we've experienced. Perhaps you should have gone to the brothers when this happened or even now! Let them know you have fallen. back then it was stumbled but since you stayed down, it is a fall.
Records are kept and if your dad was asked to step down, there is a way for you to be made to understand without the details.
Don't you trust God Himself? He is and He becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him! (Romans 8:35-39) 35 Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or hunger or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 Just as it is written: "For your sake we are being put to death all day long, we have been accounted as sheep for slaughtering." 37 To the contrary, in all these things we are coming off completely victorious through him that loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God's love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You made the whole association of our world wide brotherhood appear that it is all about the money. I hurt for Jehovah when I read those words and I hurt for you, too!
