Computer Research, Inc. Selects UC4 Workload Automation Suite
UC4 Provides IT Process Automation and Enterprise Job Scheduling for Financial Services Platform Provider

UC4 Software, a leading global provider of
workload automation, job scheduling and IT process optimization solutions,
today announced that Computer Research, Inc. (CRI) has selected UC4
Workload Automation Suite to integrate their enterprise IT workload across
their company's IT landscape. Established in 1963 and serving customers
from leading financial institutions, CRI offers a complete range of data
processing services for the securities industry.
"We run over 15 separate client environments that contain roughly 2,000
jobs a piece. UC4 has streamlined our operations batch processing across
our QA test beds, development integration systems, and soon our production
service bureau," said Larry Cornell, Operations Analyst. "UC4 immediately
helped our organization run more efficiently; during the trial period we
completely automated one of our 24-hour run batch processes, with a
significant reduction in overall elapsed processing time. We also used UC4
to monitor and intercept all console wait messages across multiple iSeries
LPARs."
As noted by CRI's Chief Information Officer, Dennis Noto, "UC4 is a key
ingredient to automating our entire data center; many new applications
running on different platforms will be managed by one solution that will
maintain the pulse of our financial operation data processing." CRI
requires a durable and dependable system to deliver world-class service to
their clients in a fast paced brokerage industry. "Our value is measured by
our ability to consistently deliver stellar batch and online services to a
high profile marketplace that has experienced workload volume increases of
300% on any given day," continued Noto. "UC4 is positioned to provide CRI
with the best of breed in workload automation."
CRI sought to replace its decade-old internal processing solution, which
they had used natively on the IBM iSeries. CRI wanted a trusted partner
that offered a scalable solution that could grow with the company. UC4
emerged as a natural choice because of its stellar industry reputation.
While currently using UC4 Workload Automation Suite for back-end
processing, CRI plans to eventually use the system to manage their entire
disaster recovery program.
"By automating processes and removing complexity, UC4 Workload Automation
Suite will increase the productivity of CRI's applications," said Cesare
Capobianco, Chief Executive Officer of UC4. "The addition of CRI to our
customer roster demonstrates our strength in working with iSeries-based
companies, and our ability to manage the critical processes of banks and
broker dealers."
UC4 Workload Automation Suite is an IT process automation and job
scheduling software solution that integrates enterprise workload across a
company's IT landscape. Companies can leverage UC4 for managing,
monitoring, controlling and synchronizing business applications with IT
infrastructure workload and creating intelligent, automated end-to-end IT
