ArmorSource to Introduce a New Lightweight Ballistic Helmet
HEBRON, Ohio, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- ArmorSource LLC, one of four
vendors supplying the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) to the U.S. Army, recently
completed the delivery of 70,000 ACH's and now sets its sights on two newly
defined Research and Development targets.
The new helmets will be produced in two designs: the PASGT/MICH style and
shape used by most Military and Law Enforcement organizations worldwide; and
a new, advanced fully ballistic design to be used exclusively by U.S. Armed
Forces.
"One of the main ArmorSource assets is its unique intellectual property
related for both lightweight protection platforms, and gained ballistic
performance," says Larry Dickson, ArmorSource CEO. According to Mr. Dickson,
ArmorSource policy is to invest in research and development (R&D) even these
days, when most of the players in the industry are reducing R&D activities.
"The new lightweight helmet is designed to exceed the ballistic
fragmentation resistance as defined and determined by most Armies, but with a
significant weight reduction of approximately 20%, which means above 0.5
pounds as compared to the older one", adds Yoav Kapah, one of the world's
most recognized Ballistic Protection Engineers conducting the Special R&D
Program.
ArmorSource LLC, a leading manufacturer of ballistic helmets and head
protection systems located inHebron, Ohio USA, is an internationally
