Mounted Police Shave Heads for St. Baldrick's Fundraising Kick-Off
FOLSOM - February 26, 2009
The Folsom Police Mounted Patrol Unit will be assisting the St. Baldrick's foundation in an effort to end childhood cancer by raising funds for much needed research.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 4:00 p.m., the Officers and their equine partners will be at the Folsom Police Department, located at 46 Natoma Street, to meet and greet anyone wishing to participate and learn more about the St. Baldrick's foundation. Come meet the Officers and horses of the Unit and watch each of them show their support by having their heads and manes shaved.
This is a kick-off to support two local fundraising events hosted by Keaton Raphael Memorial. Representatives from the Keaton Ralphael Memorial will also be on hand to provide information about their events taking place on March 12, 2009, at the UC Davis Cancer Center, and March 14, 2009 at the Westfield Galleria in Roseville. Please come and meet the Folsom Mounted Patrol Unit and show your support to ending childhood cancer.
