Triessent(R) Becomes HCSC's Specialty Pharmacy Provider
ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Prime Therapeutics (Prime) announced today that Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) has selected Triessent(R) as its primary specialty pharmacy program. On January 1, 2009, Prime began providing a portion of HCSC's health benefits business with specialty pharmacy services. By March 1, 2009, Prime will be providing specialty pharmacy services for HCSC's Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans inIllinois,New Mexico,Oklahoma andTexas.
The Triessent program helps clients address rising specialty costs by providing an approach to specialty pharmacy management that integrates across pharmacy and medical benefits. The Triessent program focuses on three core services as a foundation for complete specialty management: safe and efficient delivery of specialty medications; education and guidance from experienced professionals for managing specialty conditions and the benefits that apply to them; and an integrated approach that streamlines medical and pharmacy benefit management.
