Rush Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails

"My hope, and please understand me when I say this. I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, 'Well, I hope he succeeds. We've got to give him a chance.' Why? They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000. Before he was inaugurated, the search-and-destroy mission had begun. I'm not talking about search-and-destroy, but I've been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half. I know what his politics are. I know what his plans are, as he has stated them. I don't want them to succeed."

"I hope Obama fails. Somebody's gotta say it."
Rush Limbaugh

Hundreds of millions are rejoicing in America and throughout the world at the ascension of Barack Obama to the presidency. Our long national nightmare is over, and we can finally hold our heads high because we no longer have a joker holding court at the White House.

Even most Republicans were overcome with joy at Obama's inauguration - its historical and symbolic value outweighed partisanship. In that one magical day we were all Democrats, we were all rooting for Obama, and we were all optimistic about the future of our great democracy.

But there is one contrarian who puts partisanship and controversy ahead of his country - I'm referring to the obese blowhard Rush Limbaugh.

When Limbaugh declares that he hopes Obama fails, he's really saying that he hopes America fails. If Obama fails to restart the economy and if he fails to disentangle us from the quagmires of Iraq and Afghanistan - America will fail.

A true patriot, regardless if he is a Democrat or a Republican will fervently pray and hope that Obama will succeed.

Only a self-centered pompous blowhard will hope that Obama fails. Instead of using his platform to unite our country, Limbaugh is using his microphone to sow seeds of discontent.

We all know how much Limbaugh loves Viagra, maybe if he had a reason to take those little blue pills he wouldn't be in such a surly disposition.
