Iraqi officials conduct SOI payday in Yarmouk

Members of the Sons of Iraq wait in line to be paid for guarding their respective neighborhoods at Joint Security Station Yarmouk in the Karkh district of northwest Baghdad. "Many of the SOI remain confident about transitioning to long term employment in the near future, as many are slated to begin the next Iraqi Police class at the Furat Academy," said Capt. Michael Roscoe, Iraqi Security Force coordinator, 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery Regiment, attached to the 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad.
