Solano County Library: The Bucks Start Here
FAIRFIELD, Calif., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Solano County Library will welcome the New Year by offering several financial programs to inform the public on the current financial climate, and provide information and tips for weathering present economic issues. The free programs offered in eight locations betweenSan Francisco and Sacramento provide "in person" help to go along with the Library's collection of books, magazines, DVDs and databases on personal finance and business matters. A homebuyers seminar, credit repair workshop, Quicken class, reverse mortgage seminar and a visit from a foreclosure expert are examples of some of the programs to be held from January through March 2009.
In addition to these workshops, and with tax season quickly approaching, Solano County Library has also prepared a financial fair to address banking options, financial aid resources, foreclosure information, and credit counseling. The Super Saturday Free Tax Prep will be available three different Saturdays over three months, and will be focused on individuals making $45,000 or less.
For teens the library is offering several workshops addressing the issues of college financial aid and admission. College-bound students will have several opportunities to take a free practice SAT/PSAT exams. Also available to students will be discussions about vocational careers and military occupations.
