Kashmir CM discusses Indo-Pak Relations With British Foreign Secretary

Srinagar, Jan 14: The pro-Indian chief minister of Kashmir, Omar Abdullah discussed India-Pakistan relations with the British Foreign Secretary David Miliband through teleconferencing last evening.
An official spokesman said that Kashmir's Chief Minister and the British Foreign Secretary, who is currently on a visit to India, discussed India-Pakistan relations in the wake of recent Mumbai terrorist attacks. "Abdullah emphasised that India-Pakistan relations have a great bearing on Kashmir and the people have been impacted by the relations between the two neighbouring countries," the spokesman added.
The Chief Minister urged Miliband to use his influence to make the international community play its role in easing the tension between the two countries.
Meanwhile, appreciating the strong foundation of skill and technical development laid in Britain, Abdullah expressed his desire to work with UKfor modernising technical education system and skill development in Kashmir.
