AT&T Connecticut Adds Two Additional Connecticut PEG Programming Channels and Enhances PEG Service Functionality
HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Connecticut announced today
the addition of NHTV North Haven Community Television and BCTV Branford
Community Television Inc. channels to the public, education and government
(PEG) programming available toConnecticut residents through AT&T U-verse(SM)
TV.
In addition to the new PEG channels, AT&T Connecticut has recently
implemented enhancements that have resulted in improved PEG channel launch
times and picture quality, and streamlined the navigation for viewers to
return to preferred PEG programming.
NHTV and BCTV are now available to all Connecticut U-verse TV subscribers.
"We are pleased to be able to offer AT&T U-verse TV subscribers in the
North Haven area access to the valuable programming we create to keep our
residents informed about the community," said Walter Mann, Executive Director
of NHTV.
"AT&T U-verse TV not only allows us to reach out to our audience in
Branford, but also makes our programming available to neighboring communities;
it may be interesting for others to learn aboutBranford's perspective," said
Margot Hardenbergh, President of BCTV.

U-verse TV, AT&T Connecticut has improved PEG channel launch time and expects
to see even faster launch speeds with future software releases. The company
has also recently enhanced the video encoding rate for PEG channels resulting
in improved video quality and resolution that matches AT&T Connecticut's
standard definition commercial channels.
U-verse PEG channels are easier to access than ever before with the
addition of "auto-recall" functionality, which remembers the last municipality
whose PEG programming was being watched and makes it easier to access the PEG
content from the menu.
"We continue to make progress adding local PEG channels and enhancing the
capabilities of U-verse TV on a regular basis, just as we said we would," said
John Emra, vice president of External Affairs, AT&T Connecticut. "We look
