Governor Rendell Makes Appointment to PCCD's Victims' Services Advisory Committee
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell has appointed Peg J. Dierkers ofHarrisburg to thePennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency's Victims' Services Advisory Committee.
The advisory committee helps to establish policies and priorities for victim services and victim compensation, as well as develop performance standards for victim service providers and agencies.
Dierkers is executive director of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence, a statewide organization working at the state and national levels to prevent domestic violence, secure justice for victims, and enhance safety for families and communities. She previously served as senior vice president for care management and commercial programs at APS Healthcare, Inc., inSilver Spring, Maryland.
Dierkers has served as chairperson of the Governor's Tobacco Advisory Committee on Uncompensated Care and the Uninsured and on the board of directors for the Parent Child Home Program National Center. She holds degrees from Penn State and Ohio State universities.
