Indian para-military soldier commits suicide

Srinagar, Jan 7: An Indian para-military soldier committed suicide by shooting himself with his own service rifle in the mountainous Poonch region of Kashmir.
Police sources said that that a soldier of 193 battalion of para-military CRPF identified as Pargat Singh shot himself with his service rifle (AK-47) on Wednesday morning in Poonch district.
Singh received critical bullet injuries and died on the spot.
Police and para-military have launched investigations to ascertain the reason behind the suicide.
