SoI detain two suspects in Doura bomb attack

BAGHDAD - Iraqi Security Forces detained two suspects In conjunction with an explosion in the Masafee community in Baghdad's Rashid district.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., Soldiers from Company B, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, arrived at the bomb site, where Sons of Iraq security forces detained two Iraqis suspected of committing the crime.

An Iraqi explosives ordnance disposal team conducted a post-blast analysis of the site to determine the explosion was caused by two small homemade bombs. There were no injuries and no major damage to property.

"The 1st 'Raider' Brigade, 4th Inf. Div., provides over watch for the ISF while they work relentlessly to rid the Rashid district of criminals," said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT Spokesman, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. "This is a team effort, and we're in the supporting role. The SoI, NP, Iraqi Police and soldiers are 100 percent committed to protecting their city and serving their people."
