The Backyard Bird Company Introduces New "Birds of a Feather" Line of Decorative Bird Houses for 2009

The Backyard Bird Company, a leading online retailer of decorative bird houses, bird feeders, outdoor furniture and backyard décor, announced today the launch of their new branded line of decorative bird houses to mark their ten-year anniversary in 2009.

The "Birds of a Feather" series was designed exclusively for and by the Backyard Bird Company and is now available on the site. Each decorative bird house in the collection is made for indoor or outdoor use and includes intricate detailing such as wood shingles, front porches, flower boxes and hanging planters. The houses are all fully functional with proper ventilation, drainage holes and clean-out features.

"This line is our first exclusive series which we designed ourselves and will feature our Backyard Bird Company fleur de lis logo," said Kristina DeVries, co-founder of The Backyard Bird Company. "We chose our Birds of a Feather series to feature pastel colors after seeing a real demand for pretty, decorative bird houses. We have more designs coming in the spring and hope to expand the line to include dozens of unique styles."

The hole openings in the Birds of a Feather decorative bird house series are designed to accommodate common cavity dwellers such as Wrens, Finches, Chickadees, Nuthatches and Titmice.

The houses and feeders are constructed of Western Red Cedar with Pine shingles for the roof, exterior grade ply-board for the walls, floor and underlying roof board, kiln-dried hardwoods, pine and poly-resin for the details and outdoor, non-toxic paint.

In addition to the Birds of a Feather decorative bird house series, the Backyard Bird Company will continue to sell decorative bird houses, bird feeders, outdoor furniture and backyard décor from other designers.
