BENSALEM, Pa., Jan. 6, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Law Offices of Howard G. Smith announces that a securities class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of all persons or entities who purchased or otherwise acquired the securities of Horizon Lines, Inc. ("Horizon Lines") between March 2, 2007 and April 25, 2008, inclusive (the "Class Period"). The class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
The Complaint alleges that the defendants violated federal securities laws by issuing material misrepresentations to the market concerning Horizon Lines' business, operations and prospects, thereby artificially inflating the price of Horizon Lines securities.
