T.G.I. Friday's(R) USA and DFPR Win LACP's Magellan Award for Most Engaging Communications Campaign of 2008

'Give Me More Stripes(TM)' Named #18 In 'Top 50 Publicity Campaigns of 2008'

CARROLLTON, Texas andCHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- T.G.I. Friday'sUSA (www.fridays.com) and its public relations agency of record DFPR (www.dfpr.com) were recently named the Special Achievement Category Winner for the Most Engaging Communications Campaign of 2008, a national award for special achievement given to one campaign across all categories of competition in the 2008 Magellan Awards sponsored by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) for its "Give Me More Stripes(TM)" publicity campaign.

The publicity campaign was also named one of the Top 50 Publicity Campaigns of 2008, finishing 18th overall out of 457 entries. The company and agency's 2007 Communications Campaign for T.G.I. Friday's "Right Portion, Right Price" was the overall winner for Most News Coverage, another special achievement category.
