New Direction for Homefront With Don Zeman

SAVANNAH, GA - The popular home improvement radio show, Homefront with Don Zeman, will continue with guest host Danny Lipford following the unexpected death last week of show host Don Zeman. Host of the nationally syndicated Emmy-nominated television show, *Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford*, Lipford will join Zeman's longtime friend Rick Sellers in a tribute show on January 10, 2009 and "take up the tool belt" beginning on January 17th with his first solo *Homefront* show.

"There is no other person I can think of who could more appropriately, compassionately and completely capture Don's love of his show and listeners than Danny," said Nancy Zeman, widow of Don Zeman. "I know Don is nodding his approval at these arrangements and would be pleased to see his life's work continued on by Danny."

*Homefront with Don Zeman* is a nationally syndicated home improvement radio show heard each Saturday morning live in more than 300 markets with 3.2 million listeners across the U.S. and Canada. Zeman grew *Homefront *into the premier home improvement program on radio. He added a second franchise, *Hints from the Homefront, *90-second daily radio hints in 218 markets across the U.S. In 2002, he established *News from the Homefront *television segments.

"I'm extremely fortunate to have known Don and enjoyed his friendship over the years," said Danny Lipford. "He brought passion, knowledge and personality to the homes of millions of home improvement enthusiasts. It's an honor to step in to help keep his dream alive."

In addition to hosting his television show, Lipford is the on-camera home improvement expert for both *The Weather Channel* and *The Early Show* on CBS. He is also the featured monthly home improvement columnist for *Better Homes and Gardens* magazine.
