Winter is 'Lobsterlicious' at Scaramouche
Scaramouche announced today it will be treating patrons from January 12 to February 10 to a veritable lobster feast. Available in the restaurant as well as the Bar and Grill, the specially created 'Lobsterlicious' menu will include a choice of three appetizers and three main course dishes featuring a whole one and a quarter pound fresh Nova Scotia lobster, plus dessert, including the restaurant's famous Coconut Cream Pie. As well, Scaramouche's sommelier Peter Boyd will re-work the wine list to ensure just the right lobster wines are available by the glass.
"The lobster fishery is going through some challenging times right now, so we thought it would be a good idea to show our support," says Executive Chef Keith Froggett, who in 2007 was recognized by the Monterey Bay Aquarium for his leadership in sustainable cuisine. "Through our Toronto supplier Nino Cicirello of Diana's Seafood, Scaramouche will be taking daily delivery of these premium Canadian lobsters from the South West coast of Nova Scotia."
"Scaramouche's new Lobsterlicious menu will be consistent with the high quality ingredients and portion sizes we regularly provide our guests," adds Chef Froggett's partner Carl Korte. "And at a price of $52 per person which is exceptional value, Lobsterlicious will be good for fishermen in Atlantic Canada, our patrons as well as the restaurant during these challenging economic times."
The Lobsterlicious menu is available at Scaramouche Mondays to Thursdays from January 12 to February 10 and costs $52 per person. Taxes and gratuities are extra.
