Stux Gallery is pleased to announce 'Paris Hilton: Fantasy and Simulacrum', an exhibition of new paintings, sculptures and photographs by the New York based Nigerian born, American artist, publisher and style icon, Iké Udé. Through a myriad of modalities, Udé laments and celebrates the rise of celebrity journalism and the ensuing media phenom that is Paris Hilton, America's very own Princess Diana. http://www.absolutearts.com/artsnews/2008/12/11/35313.html

Paris Hilton, model, party girl, singer, product endorser, jailbird, actress, entrepreneur, reality star, sex-tape queen and serial vagina-flasher has left an indelible imprint on American society. As a writer I have feebly attempted to capture the essence of the pop diva, but it takes more than one discipline to do her justice. I call upon my fellow creative spirits to make Hilton the object of their obsession, every singer, sculptor, and painter should be singing her praises in his or her medium.

Ike Ude, the multi-talented artist, has an exhibition featuring paintings, sculptures and photographs of Hilton on display in the Stux Gallery. American pop culture rules the world, and every fan of Hilton should make a pilgrimage to the Stux Gallery. The Harmonic Convergence of the New Millennium is happening right now in the Stux Gallery, go there and bask in the essence that is Paris Hilton. If you are dressed kind of skanky and aren't wearing underwear you might even be able to channel her spirit.

Ike refers to himself as a "style icon", and indeed only a style icon is worthy to immortalize the pop tart. I am a style maven, and it is in this capacity that I dare write about Paris Hilton. I will only accept criticism of this essay from intellectuals and philosophers who have taken the time to study and chronicle the entity that is Paris Hilton.

Go east young man, go to the Hilton exhibition, and then you also can apply your humble talents to writing about the brightest star in the heavens.
