Italian Language Winter Session Begins in Folsom, January 19th!
The Murer House Foundation is starting its Winter 2009 language classes at the Murer House Learning Center, 1125 Joe Murer Court, in old Folsom in January. Students can learn Italian in small and supportive classes designed to maximize contact with the teacher. Present and former students, and others interested in practicing their skills, are encouraged to call for conversation practice nights on Monday nights.
Italian for Beginners For the complete beginner or someone wanting to review the basics, this is the course for you. Italian history and culture will also be discussed. The instructor will provide information on purchasing Prego! the class text book you can use in this and future Italian classes. Mondays 7 pm to 9 pm, January 19 through March 9 Fee: $120 for 8 sessions
Conversation Italian This class is designed for continuing students or someone wanting to review. The instructor will provide lessons from Prego!, the class text book you can use in this and future Italian classes, as well as other in-class activities designed to broaden your language skills. Tuesdays 7 pm to 9 pm, January 20 through March 10 Fee: $120 for 8 sessions
Italian for Travelers
Introduction to Italian For the complete beginner or someone who wants to prepare for that dream trip to Italia, this is the course for you. Italian travel tips, history and culture will also be discussed. A travel workbook with time-tested tips, phrases, and other valuable information will be available for an additional $28 that you can either use alone or share with a partner. Thursdays 7 pm to 9 pm, January 22 through March 12 Fee: $120/110 MHF discount.
The Murer House Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing Folsom's Italian heritage and preserving the historic Murer House. The Murer House Learning Center is a City of Folsom Parks and Recreation facility located in historic Folsom.
