Maker of Heaven and Earth Shall Come to Judge The Living and The Dead
WITNESSES FOR GOD?
Jehovah's Witnesses have often been called masters of deceit, and I believe for good reason. They do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as the One True God and Redeemer of the world and in fact are dedicated to destroying the knowledge of Him. Yet, they'll use His scriptures to try to lure unsuspecting souls into their cult and to instill fears about leaving it.
In an article "Proud Member of The Jehovah's Witnesses", NewsBlaze.com, they quote for instance the following verse of scripture: "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that holy commandment which was delivered to them." (2 Peter 2: 21)
This passage of scripture refers to our baptismal calling to follow Jesus Christ and is a warning to all those who fall away from the Christian Faith after having received the holy commandment to persevere in it. Yea, it is a warning to Jehovah's Witnesses and the like, since most Jehovahs are fallen away Christians. The Bible compares such persons to 'the dog that returns to his vomit.' (2 Peter 2: 22)
Jehovah's Witnesses can also be compared to horse flies: the only reason they exist is to pester the horse. If the Catholic Church did not exist, then Jehovah's Witnesses would have no reason to exist either, but as it stands they continue to lash out with envy against the One True Religion of the cross that Christ instituted for their salvation 2000 years ago.
The Bible warned of the false prophets of the last times who would go about "alluring unstable souls" (2 Peter 2:14) "Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are slaves of corruption." (2 Peter 2:19) The Jehovah's Witnesses are among the many latter day cults that go about today luring the unstable into their dens of deceit.
And what do they teach them, but that Jesus is St. Michael the Archangel! In this manner they hope to break their confidence in Christ's Divinity so that they will no longer be encouraged to adore Him as the One True God Who came to the world for their redemption. Their god then becomes a figment of the imagination that they call Jehovah, which can neither see, hear, nor impart any spiritual grace. Like ostriches with their heads in the hole, they declare to one another, "Behold, we're enlightened, we have found the Kingdom!"
But when the Maker of Heaven and earth shall come to judge the living and the dead, He will shatter their darkness with the brightness of His coming and declare unto them: "I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity." (St.Matthew 7:23)
