Openet Solution Helps Nextel Brazil on Revenue Assurance

in Nextel Brazil, the leading telecom provider in Brazil. The application
rolled out is Openet's Revenue Assurance solution, the first line of
defense against possible losses of revenue in the company. The solution
from Openet is now in full operation by Nextel.
This powerful mediation tool offers a rigorous mechanism of gathering data
and generation of reports, and is assisting Nextel in tasks as the superior
organization of its IT system for revenue guarantee.

sources of revenue leakage, and strengthened our qualification in
recognizing such sources of income," affirms Tomas Spedalleti, IT director
of Nextel. For the executive, Openet's solution of revenue guarantee
"provides a considerably bigger volume of revenue for the collecting system
of that one previously used by the company."
The project started at the end of 2006 and was concluded in the middle of
last year. During these months, a team of 10 people customized the
original program developed by the Irish company. "About 90 percent of the
work was carried through by our team here in Brazil," says Mauro Vicente,
sales director and Openet partnership in Brazil. Jim Chadwick was the
program manager and Bruno Soares, project manager for Openet.
Openet in Ireland and its North American office supplied the necessary
technical support in order to roll out the products quickly, guaranteeing
Nextel Brazil maximum profitability and control over its operations.
