Meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon
The Vice President of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti America & Nepal Festival USA-2008 Managing Committee's Coordinator Mr Mingmar Sherpa and Joint Secretary of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti America NY Chapter Mr Phurba Sherpa has met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon this evening at Dinner Reception in UN Headquarters, New York.
Mingmar Sherpa handed an invitation letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to be the Chief Guest of upcoming Nepal Festival USA-2008. He also informed about the activities of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti America and gave detail information about Nepal Festival to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. Secretary General Mr. Moon was very delighted and said that he will try his best to attend the Festival Inauguration Ceremony.
The Festival is going to held on Decemebr 20-23, 2008 at 630, 2nd Ave,New York, NY 10016 in Armenian Hall.
There were more than 500 distinguished guests in the reception. Mingmar Sherpa & Phurba Sherpa handed the Festival Information Flyers to all of them. Everyone were happy to know about the Nepal Festival USA-2008.
