Guenther Homes Sees Bright Spot in New Home Sales for October, More to Come?

Guenther Homes, an established homebuilder based here, reported increased sales in October.

"We booked three new sales and closed five other homes in October," said company COO Natalie Ceccolini.

What spurred the increase? "Three factors," Ceccolini continued. "Most importantly, financing is still readily available. Local banks and mortgage companies helped our customers get loans with minimum down payments, including 0%, as well as conventional financing, all with low 30 year fixed rates. Additionally, inventory of new homes is at an all time with new home prices not seen in this market since 2003. Finally, there are fewer homebuilders. Many builders have closed their developments, while we continue to staff our sales offices six days a week for the convenience of our customers."

Formed in 1946, Guenther Homes is a family owned building company that has developed over 30 major subdivisions, apartment communities, office and retail developments throughout Michigan. Guenther Homes currently has new homes and lots available in Washtenaw, Livingston, Lenawee, Monroe and Charlevoix counties.
