UL Warns of Potentially Hazardous Holiday Decorative Outfits
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is
notifying consumers and retailers that lighted Christmas decorative outfits
manufactured by Dongguan Beauty Star Lights Company do not comply with UL's
safety requirements and may pose a risk of shock or fire.
This information was first reported in a previous UL public notice dated
February 29, 2008.
Units: Unknown quantity
Date of Manufacture: November 2007 to present
Manufacturer: Dongguan Beauty Star Lights Co. Ltd.
Hazard: These products may overheat, creating a potential risk of electric
shock and fire to users.
Identification: The outfit is a lighted nativity scene consisting of a
decorative lighting string and a metal frame with plastic housing.

The cord also has a UL holographic label consisting of the UL Mark and the

What you should do: UL recommends that users stop using the product
immediately and return the decorative outfit to the place of purchase.
