Intex Recreation Corp. Warns of Built-in Airbed Electric Inflator Bearing Unauthorized UL Mark
Intex is notifying all consumers that the
Intex Fast Fill(TM) built-in airbed inflator specified below and provided
on some Intex airbeds, bear an unauthorized UL mark. Whereas a handheld
version of such inflator has been UL certified, Intex had wrongly
interpreted the certification and applied it to the built-in version of the
inflator as well. This specific version of the built-in airbed inflator was
not evaluated for safety by UL.

Name of product: Intex Fast Fill(TM) built-in airbed inflator, model AP619
Manufacturer: Intex Industries (Xiamen) Co., Ltd., Xinyang Industrial Zone,
Haicang, Xiamen, China.
Date of manufacture: October 2003 till February 2006
Identification on product: The inflator is not sold individually and can
only be found as an integral part of some Intex airbeds, built into the
side of the airbed. It is black color and characterized by a large (2.75
inches in diameter) control dial in the center.
Identification on product (as pictured): The name Fast Fill(TM) and model
number AP619 can be found in the lower right corner of the inflator (please
note that if your inflator shows the model number AP619R, it is NOT
affected by this notification). Production date of the inflator can be
found in the upper right corner, right next to the power switch.
