No Recession for Biogas Industry 2009. High growth for Biogas Plants expected

The biggest projected slowdown in projects is occurring in North America with 22 percent, Europe with 16 percent, Eastern Europe with 45 percent, China with 19 percent, Japan
with 23 percent to name the leading countries in the world. Alternative Energies like wind, solar and others will depend on the support and programs on the governments around the world which are not clear yet. But Biogas Plant Markets and the Biogas Operator Markets increase also 2009 worldwide.

8.900 new plants will be built in 2009 with over 2700 MW worldwide. Asian is leading with 34 percent and Europe with 26 percent, followed by NAFTA and Others. Increasing investments in biogas businesses by energy companies
 
The world markets for Biogas and Biogas Plants increase since some years with 20 to 30 percent depending on the country. Biogas from by-products and combinations is the most efficient form of renewable energy and therefore not affected from the financial crisis like other renewable energy technologies. Biogas production comes from at least three sources: agriculture wastes, sewage sludge and solid domestic wastes.

These are some results of a survey end of November 2008 by Helmut Kaiser Consultancy with 145 experts worldwide. The markets worldwide are expected with 25 billion euro by 2020 from 3 billion in 2007. There is the development of a new industry worldwide: Biogas-Industry.
 
The amount of 800 million tons of waste produced every year worldwide has the potentials for 64 billion cubic meters of biogas, which is the equivalent of 32 billion tons of gasoline or diesel fuel or 110 gig watt/hour of electric energy.
 
Dragon Power Co, China's biggest biogas - biomass energy company (50 power plants) plans to build about 30 biogas power plants by 2010, with an estimated total investment of 1.5 billion euro.
 
In Europe more and more operating companies are built and developed as the priority is going from technology to business. The same in USA and Canada currently 40 companies are operating 80 power plants in 20 states throughout USA. Companies listing include Renegy Holdings Inc. and Covanta Central Valley Biomass and more. Korean investment firm plans to build a multi-function corn processing plant in Gowa, South Sulawesi, with an investment of US$ 300 million in a project that it says with high profit potential.
 
There more and more Investment companies prepared to invest high values in biogas markets. The key is the knowledge in biotechnology, molecular science and optimization in the future for operators to make profit. Biogas is one of the fast growing industries in renewable industries.
