Proud Member of The Jehovah's Witnesses
Response to Who Are Jehovah's Witnesses?
Dear Editor,
As a current proud member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, I'd like to underline only two aspects of the whole story.
Firstly, people who really study the Bible and try hard to follow its principles are truly recognized by authorities all over the world as commendable examples of good behavior (there are many written documents speaking in favor of that: see one example at this link http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/1201/p17s01-hfgn.html).
If the Jehovah's Witnesses, taken as a group, who are globally known as Bible's preachers who try to comply with it, hadn't been more than decent people (again, taken as a group), nations around the world would have found for sure a way to get rid of them by now, and that during more than a century.
Secondly, as far as prophecies are concerned, look what the apostle Peter said about those who get out of God's recognized Christian organization: "For it would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it accurately to turn away from the holy commandments delivered to them. The saying of the true proverb has happened to them: ' The dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire.' "
