T.G.I. Friday's(R) Restaurants to Treat 'Give Me More Stripes(R)' Members to Free Dessert During Black Friday Weekend

CARROLLTON, Texas, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- T.G.I. Friday's restaurants (www.fridays.com) today announced it will treat members of its Give Me More Stripes (www.givememorestripes.com) guest recognition program, the only nationwide in-restaurant program of its kind, to a free dessert with the purchase of an entree at participating restaurants during Black Friday weekend, November 28-30.

"Friday's will sweeten up the holiday shopping for our best guests during Black Friday weekend," said Andrew Jordan, senior vice president of marketing for T.G.I. Friday'sUSA. "It's another 'only-at-Friday's' example of special treatment for members of 'Give Me More Stripes.'"

In addition to free dessert during Black Friday weekend, Give Me More Stripes members receive the following immediate perks:

    --  Personalized & customized membership card
    --  Free appetizer or dessert upon sign-up (up to $8 value)
    --  One-time use jump-the-line-pass
    --  $8 certificate for every $100 spent (excluding alcohol-only purchases)

Now 550,000 strong, Give Me More Stripes program members have been surprised in restaurant with complimentary members-only food such as chips & dip and hummus & chips. Earlier this year, members received a free snack bag of Cheddar and Bacon Potato Skins chips during lunch.

According to a recent survey(1) conducted by Harris Interactive(R) on behalf of T.G.I. Friday's restaurants, nearly nine in ten (87%) of U.S. adults said they would find membership in a restaurant recognition or rewards program appealing. Of those adults, nearly eight in ten (79%) would find complimentary food/drink an appealing feature in a restaurant recognition and rewards program membership.

Friday's(R) previously announced that through January 4, 2009, for every $25 spent on Friday's(R) Gift Cards guests will receive a $5 Bonus Bites card. In addition, all Gift Card purchases are valid for "Give Me More Stripes" program points.
