Calypso Wireless, Inc. Announces Patent Issuance in 26th and 27th European Country for Its ASNAP(TM) Technology

Calypso Wireless (PINKSHEETS: CLYW) today announced that it has been granted its Patent in two additional European Countries. The Patents were granted in Spain and in Slovenia (Publication #1533943) titled "Communication System and Method." These patents are for Calypso's proprietary ASNAP™ technology, which enables the convergence of Cellular and WiFi networks, allowing a user to seamlessly switch and connect from either a Cellular Network or a Wireless Local Area Network Access Point (WLAN), seamlessly without the user noticing the change.

Calypso's proprietary ASNAP™ technology is now firmly secured in the United States, Mexico, and in these 27 European countries:

The executive management team at Calypso expects our patent portfolio to continue to grow as additional countries grant our patent. "Growing the patent portfolio is a key element of Calypso's business plan, and the primary goal is to license our technologies to others through meaningful licensing agreements," states Calypso's President, Richard Pattin. Calypso is in the process of seeking licensors of its proprietary ASNAP™ technology in the U.S. and internationally.

Additionally, when necessary, Calypso will bring litigation against infringing parties with the help of Williams Kherkher law firm. We recently announced a patent infringement complaint (Case 2:08-cv-00441) against T-Mobile USA, Inc. ("T-Mobile"), the mobile communications operating subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG (NYSE: DT), in The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division in Marshall, Texas.

The shareholders meeting scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd is being postponed due to the current economic situation. We expect to reschedule the meeting within six weeks.
