Girl Scouts of the USA Announces Davia B. Temin Elected First Vice President of National Board of Directors

NEW YORK, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Girls Scouts of theUSA is delighted to announce the election of Davia B. Temin as the First Vice President, and member of the Executive Committee, of its National Board of Directors. Ms. Temin was elected and confirmed on November 1st at the 2008 Girl Scout National Council Session/51st Convention inIndianapolis.

Davia Temin is President and CEO of Temin and Company, a reputation and crisis management, marketing and media strategy, coaching consultancy working at the Board, Chief Executive, funding and product levels to create, enhance and save reputations. Before starting the firm 11 years ago, she ran corporate marketing for GE Capital, Schroders Investment Bank, Scudder, Citicorp Investment Bank, and Columbia Business School. A former Girl Scout, one year Ms. Temin sold more cookies than any girl inOhio. She was honored by The Girl Scout Council ofGreater New York as a Woman of Distinction in 2007. Ms. Temin also sits on several other boards, including the Boards of The White House Project, Video Volunteers, and The Knight-Bagehot Fellowship of Columbia Journalism School.

Members of the Girl Scout National Board and its Executive Committee are elected every three years by members of the National Council, which consists of national and international delegates, the National Nominating Committee, past presidents of Girl Scouts of theUSA, and other persons who may be elected by the National Council.
