Originally released in May, 2008 before Apple launched the App Store, OrbLive v1 required users to jailbreak their phones. Although OrbLive was critically acclaimed as the first media player for live content on the iPhone, many people didn't want to jailbreak their device. In spite of it all, 300,000 iPhone users downloaded the earlier version of OrbLive. Now there are two versions of OrbLive available in the App Store. There are no other service or subscription fees required. OrbLive Free has all the functionality of the full version, but limits your media selection to 3 randomly chosen titles of each media type.
