Tektronix UWB WiMedia Test Solution Key to Wireless USB Testing at Testronic Laboratories

Tektronix Real-Time Oscilloscopes, Signal Sources and UWB Spectral Analysis Software Provide Quick, Repeatable and Reliable Testing

With the growth in high-speed communications technologies in the digital age, there is an increasing need to test products to ensure their compliance and compatibility with industry standards. Testronic Labs provides leading-edge test services for these technologies, and the Tektronix UWB WiMedia compliance test solution -- comprising the AWG7000 arbitrary waveform generator, the TDS6154C ultra high performance oscilloscope and UWB spectral analysis software -- provides state-of-the-art support for its activities.

Testronic Labs became accredited as an Independent Test Lab for testing and certification of Wireless Universal Serial Bus (W-USB) products by The USB Implementers Forum in July this year (www.testroniclaboratories.com). Using the Tektronix UWB WiMedia test solution, it is able to provide compliance testing and certification services for W-USB devices to its customers, allowing them to market products based on the Wireless USB specifications that are proven to interoperate with other certified products. When a product has achieved Wireless USB certification, it can bear the Wireless USB logo on the product and packaging, signifying to the consumer that the product has been tested and proven to interoperate with other certified W-USB products.

The Tektronix UWB WiMedia compliance test solution for Wireless USB interoperability testing comprises the AWG7000 arbitrary waveform generator, ultra-high performance oscilloscopes, such as DSA70000 real time oscilloscopes, matching probes, and UWB spectral analysis software.
