1Cast Hires Veteran of msnbc.com and Xbox.com as Vice President, Technology
KIRKLAND, Wash., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- 1Cast announced today that it has
hired Travis McElfresh as Vice President, Technology. McElfresh joins 1Cast
from msnbc.com, where he oversaw product development, software architecture,
engineering and web operations for msnbc.com, NBCSports.com, NightlyNews.com
and TodayShow.com. According to Nielson Online, msnbc.com alone attracted
more than 43 million unique visitors in September 2008.

audience around the video-rich environment at the msnbc.com family of web
properties is uniquely suited to helping 1Cast build and enrich our user

During his five year tenure at msnbc.com, McElfresh was responsible for
leading all aspects of product development during an era of record-breaking
revenue growth and cost control. Prior to msnbc.com, McElfresh led a web
application platform team for the Xbox Marketing and Product Groups (including
Xbox Live) that served 5 million unique users per month and 90 million pages
per month. Before that, McElfresh held product management, program management
and technical management positions at Microsoft, OneSoft, Ameriteach and the
University of Wyoming. McElfresh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from
Whitman College and a PhD (ABD) from the University of Wyoming.
