Stardock Launches Object Desktop 2009; New Features, Programs to Design the Desktop

PLYMOUTH, Mich., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Stardock Corporation, the world's leading provider of desktop enhancement software, launched Object Desktop 2009 today. Object Desktop is a suite of utilities that enables users to completely personalize the Windows experience - change how Windows looks, feels, and functions to suit the user's preference. The 2009 version sees upgrades and new features added to the suite of software, including the ability for Windows XP users to now create and display animated desktops, a feature that until now was only available to Windows Vista users. The suite is divided into Standard and Ultimate options, with pricing at $49.95 and $69.95 respectively. With combined programs downloaded more than 25 million times, Object Desktop 2009 includes WindowBlinds, IconPackager, DesktopX, WindowFX, Enhanced File Dialog, RightClick, Keyboard LaunchPad and more. New programs added to the 2009 suite are Bootskin Pro for Windows Vista which allows users to change the Vista boot screen and Theme Manager 3.0, which lets users take a snap shot of their current themes and "save" them to install whenever they choose - the program harnesses all Object Desktop programs into one simple user interface. Additionally, IconPackager 4.0 is the only program that lets users change all of their Vista icons (including live folders) in a single click. Additionally, the latest version of DesktopX allows users to export their custom gadgets as Windows sidebars.
