Finland-based Sulake to Deploy Entrust Versatile Authentication Platform to Authenticate Remote Access Users

"We looked at a number of strong authentication solutions, but eventually it came down to the affordability and flexibility of Entrust's authentication platform," said Sulake security director Markku Kaskenmaa. The Entrust IdentityGuard versatile authentication platform architecture, which offers the widest range of authenticators on the market today, provided a clear advantage against a pair of competing vendors. Sulake will deploy the Entrust IdentityGuard one-time-passcode tokens before the close of the year, providing a strong, cost-effective authentication strategy. The organization also will have the ability to easily extend the system to partners using Entrust's patented two-factor authentication grid cards.

The platform's authentication options include username and password, IP-geolocation, machine/device, questions and answers, out-of-band one-time passcode (delivered via voice, SMS or e-mail), grid cards and a range of one-time-passcode tokens. Entrust IdentityGuard also provides multiple methods of supporting mutual authentication, including picture and caption replay.
