Canadian Helicopters Income Fund Announces Automatic Securities Purchase Plan

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - (Marketwire - Nov. 18, 2008) - Canadian Helicopters Income Fund (TSX:CHL.UN) (the "Fund") announces today the implementation of an automatic securities purchase plan (the "Plan") in connection with its normal course issuer bid ("NCIB") announced on December 19, 2007. The Plan was established to provide standard instructions regarding how the Fund's ordinary units (the "Units") are to be purchased under the NCIB. Accordingly, the Fund may purchase its Units under the Plan on any trading day during the NCIB, including during self-imposed trading blackout periods.

The Plan will commence today and terminate on the earlier of (a) the limits on purchases under the NCIB being reached and (b) the date of termination of the NCIB. The Fund may otherwise vary, suspend or terminate the Plan only if it does not have material non-public information and the decision to vary, suspend or terminate the Plan is not taken during a self-imposed trading blackout period. The Plan constitutes an "automatic plan" for purposes of applicable Canadian securities legislation and has been precleared by the Toronto Stock Exchange.
