Wilcox, University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, will be the keynote speaker at "Financial Tsunami Aftermath: What's Next for Investing, Borrowing, and Real Estate," presented by Haas' Orange County Alumni Network.

James A. Wilcox is Haas' James J. and Marianne B. Lowrey Chair in Business, and a member of the Haas Economic Analysis and Policy Group and Haas Finance Group. He earned his B.A. in economics and history at S.U.N.Y. Binghamton in 1974 and received a Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University in 1980. Currently Prof. Wilcox teaches courses in banking and financial markets, forecasting, and macroeconomics. He also served as the senior economist for macroeconomic and monetary policy at the President's Council of Economic Advisors as well as economist at the Federal Reserve Board. Wilcox has written extensively on banking, real estate markets, interest rates, and inflation.
