Gov. Schwarzenegger Appoints Jeffrey Thompson to Colusa County Superior Court

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Jeffrey A. Thompson to a judgeship in the Colusa County Superior Court.

Thompson, 55, of Colusa, has been a sole practitioner since 1999. Prior to that, he worked for the Tehama County District Attorney's Office serving in various positions including district attorney from 1994 to 1999, assistant district attorney from 1992 to 1994 and deputy district attorney from 1989 to 1992. Thompson earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge S. William Abel. Thompson is a Republican.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
